Lake Forest Builders built us a magnificent three-car garage that met all of our needs. We weren't quite sure about the design so we relied on Paul, the owner. Upon completion we found many features that he included that make the garage outstanding. He truly has a great vision when he designs the work to be accomplished and listens to his customers to understand their needs.

We chose LFB to build our house on Lake Columbia in 2015 and we happily moved into it in 2016. We were first time builders and chose Paul and crew over many of the other local builders based on his no pressure, laid back and informative approach.  He always had a great attitude throughout the process and happily answered the many questions we threw at him.  Paul gave us great ideas and was always open to ours. We have recommended him to anyone that asks about building ever since and would hands down work with him again!

As lifelong residents of the Detroit area and with many connections in the home building and renovation industry there, we were nervous about finding a high-quality, reputable builder to transform our Lake Leann "weekender" into a permanent dream home.  Thankfully, through local word of mouth, we connected with Paul Bates and Lake Forest Builders, and we were blessed he and LFB were willing and able to take on our ambitious home project.  Paul helped us design, budget and schedule our major renovations, and he and his loyal LFB team embarked on an 18-month journey to level/reconstruct our existing home and build our new barn (special shout out to Nick and Thayer).  In addition to the core team, LFB importantly has strong relationships with subcontractors and material sources including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, excavation, concrete, metal fabrication, lumber, windows, roofing, garage doors, well services, etc.  LFB strives to keep on time and within budget, and certainly in the spirit of an old adage our parents instilled in us... "You get what you pay for."  LFB's attention to detail and uncompromising commitment to quality resulted in the dream home we envisioned.  The project exceeded our expectations and is being thoroughly enjoyed by our family and friends and is admired by lake residents and visitors.  All in all, we are totally satisfied with Paul Bates and Lake Forest Builders and would strongly recommend them for your home building and/or renovation needs.
